Did you know that it takes about 1800 gallons of water to make one pair of jeans? The fashion industry is the second most polluting industry in the world. Most brands promote fast fashion. By its very nature, this extremely wasteful model results in mass-produced low-quality products that are not made to last.
At REMU we not only believe in clothes that have a future, but we believe in clothes that have a history. Our production model is founded on the concept of upcycling previously used jeans and fabric scraps from local denim factories to make unique and stylish denim jackets, infused with traditional Andean culture.
